The Winners of David Agmashenebeli Contest have been nominated

On the day of Saint David Agmashenebeli (the Builder) – February 8 – in Tbilisi, at the Hotel “Sherato-Metekhi-Palace” there was held a ceremony of handing Historical-Literary Prizes of this great Georgian king to the winners. The ceremony was preceded by a press-conference with the participation of the members of the Contest Commission, reviewers, as well as some of the laureates. Journalists attending the press-conference were informed about the names of the Contest winners and how it was arranged.

Event of the Year for Georgian Culture

The event of the year for Georgian culture - is the first presentation of Historical and Literary Prize of David Agmashenebeli (the Builder) in Tbilisi. It is planned for February 8, 2010. To the pleasure of the organizers of the Prize there were submitted over 100 applications, which clearly emphasized the necessity of similar creative competitions for the figures engaged in culture. The submission of the works in accordance with the Regulations of the Prize ended on December 15, 2009. However, on January 12, 2010 the Commission of Awarding the Prize will consider the possibility of admitting to the competition of four works in addition, the authors of which consider necessary to participate in it after the statements made by the mass media of Georgia.
