Alexandre Ebralidze, Head of the Commission
Born in 1955 in the city of Batumi. Graduated from the Faculty of History of Gerzen State Pedagogical Institute of Leningrad and Sankt-Petersburg Law Academy. In 1992 established Open JSC “Talioni”, whose general director he has been to date. In 2004, together with the management of the Union of Writers of Russia established historical-literary prize “Alexander Nevsky”, which was enriched in 2009 by the projects of museum and memorial nature. From the day of the establishment he is the Head of the Awarding Commission of the noted prize. In the autumn, 2009, established Historical-Literary Prize of “David Agmashenebeli” (“David the Builder”). He is a well-known patron of arts and philanthropist. By his initiative the serious monograph about Petre Bagrationi (the author Evgeni Anisimov) was created, which was translated and published in Georgian also by his financial support.
Bagatur Arabuli, Member of the Commission
Born in 1950 in the village of Motsmao of Dusheti region. Was editor of “Nobati” magazine, editor-in-chif of “Lomisi” newspaper, deputy head of “Literature Foundation” of the Union of Writers of Georgia. At present he is Deputy Head of the Union of Writers of Georgia, literary editor of “Tsiskari” magazine. His poems were published for the first time in 1967 in “Tsiskari” magazine. He has published 12 books. His works have been translated in Russian, Dutch, Ukrainian, Spaish, Italian, English, Bulgarian, Armenian, Hungarian, Tuvinian-Mongolian, and other languages. Has been awarded International Prize of Vladimir Mayakovsky and Titsian Tabidze. He is awarded by the Order of Honor.
Durmishkhan Tsintsadze, Member of the Commission
Born on March 23, 1932, in Chokhatauri. In 1949, after finishing secondary school, continued studying at Ivane Djavakhishvili State University, Faculty of History. In 1954, by the recommendation of Academician Niko Bedenishvili started working in State Museum of Georgia as a scientific worker. At the same time was making his post-graduate studies. In 1969 defended candidacy dissertation (PhD). From 1976 he is Associate Professor of the Faculty of History of Tbilisi State University and, subsequently, Full Professor. He is author of 15 books: “In the Tracks of Takaishvili”, “This is Our History”, “The Development of Capitalism in the II Half of XIX Century and the I Half of XX Century”, and others. Durmishkhan Tsintsadze is the editor of the book “The Borders of Georgia” published by Ivane Djavakhishvili, which includes the map of Georgia published in 1919.
Nunu Dalakishvili, Member of the Commission
Born in 1952 in Tbilisi. Graduated from Tbilisi I. Gogebashvili Pedagogical Institute (1974) and the Faculty of Journalism of I. Djavakhishvili Tbilisi State University. From the early 1980s worked in Georgian TV and radio broadcasting. Prepared about 45 programs. From 1984 to 2004 worked as an editor of the research group of audio foundation of the state radio. Has published newspaper versions of the recordings of golden fund of the Radio. In 2000 published the first collection of miniatures “Wingless Birds”. From 2005 is the Member of the Union of Writers. From 2005 till today is Associate Professor of Tbilisi A. Kuchukhidze Business Academy. He delivers lectures in radio journalism. Composed and prepared for the publication a unique collection “The Voices of the Century”, which is soon to be presented for a Georgian reader.
Nana Djaparidze-Chkoidze, Member of the Commission, Executive Secretary of the Commission
Born in 1954, in the city of Batumi, graduated from the Faculty of Automatics and Computer Engineering of Georgian Polytechnic Institute (1977) and the Faculty of English Language and Literature of Tbilisi Ilia Chavchavadze Institute of Foreign Languages (1994). Worked as a Main Specialist at the State Committee of Science and Engineering, Assistant of Ambassador of USA in Georgia, Head of the Department of International Relations of Parliament of Georgia. At present, she is Director of the Georgian branch of the World Congress of Nations of Georgia. She is the author and editor of many publications, has translated the works of prominent researchers in the field of human rights and international law. At different times, she has published poetry and miniatures in youth magazines and newspapers.
